Joe, I'm sorry about the disappointment. This program is run by the high school varsity teams, and we published information about it as a service to them. What you see on this site was pulled from the local Chesterland News newspaper. I believe the free hot dogs and chips were just for the boys running as ball boys for the game. The Club will bring up your concerns with our contacts at the high school.

I was really disappointed in the lack of information sent out and organization for the boys youth night. The email sent out said nothing about being there early to form a tunnel, I found that on the West Geauga Soccer Website. Many kids were not able to participate because they were not informed about it. That is a shame because that was the only thing that happened that night. The website said that there would be half-time recognition for youth players in our community, many children were left out of this. At half time there was suppose to be hot dogs, chips and a drink for either all the boys or the ball boys, not sure which ones but they ran out of hot dogs, I believe it should have been for all the boys, since it was YOUTH NIGHT.Now they did go get more but the kids were back on the field or back in the stands. Like I said it didn't run very smoothly
