McKynzie Salerno, an eighth grade student at St. Francis of Assisi School and member of the U14 White girls team, is organizing a soccer drive to collect soccer gear for kids in our community who, without donations, cannot take part in this sport.
A letter from McKynzie:
I am fortunate enough to be able to play travel and premier soccer, and I really want others to have the opportunity to participate in the sport I love. So I will be collecting donations of new or used soccer gear and sending them to the US Soccer Foundation’s Passback Program to provide desperately needed equipment to kids in local communities who don’t have the means to get equipment on their own. If you would like to donate please see the information below. Thank you in advance for your support.
Please bring any type of soccer gear, new or gently used.
There will also be a pick-up game, so come dressed to play (white and dark shirt, shin guards, cleats, and a water bottle).
If you would like to donate but are unable to make it to West Geauga Commons on August 2nd, please contact McKynzie at salernocsu@aol.com for alternative arrangements.
